True Love

Don’t look at me when I’m angry.
Don’t see my selfish ways.
Don’t notice when I’m nervous.
Don’t help me feel ashamed.
Don’t ask me why I love you.
Don’t wonder why I care.
Don’t look for me to save you.
Don’t think life’s ever fair.
Don’t wonder why I’m like this.
Don’t tell yourself you’ll fix me.
Don’t count on anything.

Your hopelessness has purpose, just as fate has lead us here.

If you learn this we’ll be worthy of a love that knows no fear.
